About.com scrapbooking has a large collection of layout galleries that include page ideas as well as free scrapbooking patterns. For example, here is a gallery of free paisley patterns and scrapbook page layout sketches. They’re not really my style, but are a good example of the type of resources available to us scrappers.
If only I had time to try them all out!

In this gallery, you will find everything from simple pages to more complex layouts. A couple of the layouts have even been created digitally.
Incorporating index prints into a layout is a great way to highlight additional photos as well as add some visual interest. I’m always looking for layout ideas on how to accomplish this.

Well before I started scrapbooking, I got into rubber stamps. Even though I see more and more scrappers taking their collections of rubber stamps to crops, I still haven’t taken the plunge into using stamps on my layouts.

Father’s day layouts, and masculine layouts in general, are tough for me.
Maybe it’s because I have a stash of pink and purple paper that’s large enough to complete about 42 little girl albums?
I came across this layout of “Dad as a Boy” and thought it was a great way to get over the mental block when it comes to creating a layout.

(Read the full article...)Materials used: Dymo label maker and cardstock from The Paper Loft. Tip from Jennifer: Cut 3/8" strips and run them through your label maker. Use sand paper to lightly sand the surface of the embossed words and the white words will show up. Note - You have to use colored cardstock with a white back, for example The Paper Loft cardstock works perfectly.
