Colorful and delicate, bubbles symbolize childlike wonder. Yet these fragile creations are notoriously difficult to photograph. It can be nearly impossible to get a bubble of the right size in just the right position, and they have a tendency to burst just before you can click your cameras shutter. Karen Johnson avoided these photographic pitfalls by staging a photo shoot with her son, then adding in her own "virtual bubble" with Adobe Photoshops Gradient tool. A few strokes of a star-shaped special effect brush give extra sparkle to this magical scene.
